Ford Model T
While this Ford Model T was not actually owned by anyone in Blawenburg, it is representative of the 13 million “Tin Lizzies” that were built in the United States between 1908 and 1927. It is believed that the first two Model T owners in Blawenburg were Percy Van Zandt, who used it for travel related to the Broad View Farm, and Stanley Dorey, who was the first rural free delivery postman to use a motorized vehicle in Montgomery Township. Dorey lived in the Voorhees house, which is also my house, from 1922 until his death in 1960.
