According to Blood, Sweat, and Tears, in their oldie hit Spinning Wheel, "What goes up, must come down." Newton suggested the same thing in describing gravity. The Van Zandt family didn't have either Newton or Blood, Sweat, and Tears in mind when they got out of the dairy business. In 1980, they found someone who could use the wood from the barn to tear it down.
The only remnant of the barn standing today is the silo which can be seen along Route 518 just west of Van Zandt Drive.
